Piano Fiumata

The residential area of Piano Fumata has only partially maintained its ancient style, with buildings that have been rebuilt from scratch or renovated. There is a small square at the entrance to the town, where the pretty little church of S. Paolo is located, which has some stone portals decorated with bas-reliefs and inscriptions. Piano Fumata has been mentioned in historical sources since 1639 with the name Plano della Fumata. Its history is linked to that of neighboring towns such as Lame, Vernesca, Pezzelle and Fiume.
