Cunetta is located on the borders of the municipality of Cortino. Some of the oldest houses dating back to the 18th century are located in the municipality of Teramo, while the others are recently built, including a small church dedicated to S. Lorenzo. The name of the town derives from a small chapel dedicated to S. Anna, founded by the ancestors of the De Angelis family of Casanova, and commonly known as "conetta".
The feast of the patron saint, S. Lorenzo, is celebrated on August 10th.
