The Padula ring
The itinerary starts from the town of Padula, located in the municipality of Cortino at 932 meters above sea level, and surrounded by the lush woods of the Monti della Laga. We start from the town center and head towards the old mill. Continuing along the Italia path that leads to Ceppo, you arrive at Ponte Flammagno, where it is possible to admire the rich colonization of Tasso. With a short detour, you reach the Cantagalli waterfalls, three consecutive "leaps" with which the Fosso della Cavata flows into the Tordino river.
The final destination is the Macere clearing, at 1140 meters above sea level, where you cross the Fosso della Cavata on an iron bridge. You then follow a comfortable dirt road with a breathtaking panoramic view of the upper Tordino valley and then descend towards Padula, where the itinerary ends and where you can visit the environmental education center "The fruits of the forest".
