The Church of the Madonna del Carmine, located in the hamlet of Vernesca, was built in 1803 as indicated on its simple portal. Currently, it is marked by damage caused by the 2009 earthquake and, like many other cases, has been shored up. It has a gable roof renovated in 1988 and a small bell tower which houses a bell. On it is represented a Madonna with Child and Crucifix with the writing "Liberaci o Signore dalla folgore e dalla tempesta - Anno 1773". The interior of the church is composed of a single small hall with a wooden roof, and on the wall behind the altar there are two statues depicting the Madonna.
